Over the past 15 years, Mr. Madden has been an active real estate investor and advisor with an emphasis on multi-family housing. Mr. Madden’s experience includes: mortgage banking and finance, condominium conversion, 1031 exchange transactions, property/asset management, investment analysis, and redevelopment analyses.
In addition, Mr. Madden is experienced in the valuation of commercial, industrial, and residential land and almost all types of improved property, including but not limited to retail developments, office, industrial, mixed-use projects and multi-family residential developments. Mr. Madden's appraisal experience includes preparation of market value estimates for use in conjunction with sales acquisitions, leasing and mortgage lending.
Other responsibilities include investment due diligence for all types of properties, detailed market and feasibility studies, highest and best use and most profitable use analyses, land planning and development strategies, financial analyses of real estate portfolios, market surveys of commercial and industrial space, regional market and demographic studies.
Mr. Madden is a shareholder and a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Birch|REA Partners, Inc. He is also a Principal of Birch|Capital Partners, Inc., a private real estate investment company.
Prior to forming Birch|REA, Mr. Madden held a vice president position at the Gartner Group. Mr. Madden holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Babson College.
